The Ho-Chunk Nation Office of General Council Staff and General Council Planning Committee would like to invite all Ho-Chunk Nation Tribal Members to attend this year’s 2019 Annual Meeting of the General Council.
Many preparations have been made to ensure that this year’s General Council Meeting is productive and enjoyable. We listened to our tribal members by planning a central location for the Midwest population at Kalahari Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wisc. This also allowed us to eliminate some extra costs.
We have made some changes to improve and speed up payout for our tribal members. NEW THIS YEAR: The General Council Planning Committee wants to recognize and thank our veterans for their service. ALL Ho-Chunk Nation Veterans will be paid out upon arrival regardless of age. Please bring a valid form of ID and/or paperwork that indicates veteran status. Our Elders will also continue to be paid out upon arrival.
We also have decided to pay tribute to the General Council Advocate Joy Thompson, who began her eternal journey this past June. The General Council Planning Committee has named this year’s meeting, the 2019 Joy Thompson Memorial Meeting of the General Council.
