On Thursday, October 20, the Ho-Chunk Nation hosted an
educational session for Elk Mound 7th graders at the District 1
Community Center with the Ho-Chunk Nation Museum and Cultural Center, Cultural
Resource Division, and the Department of Natural Resources.
President Marlon WhiteEagle welcomed the students into a
morning filled with Ho-Chunk culture. Students gathered together to learn about
Ho-Chunk history, and lessons on preserving the environment and tree
identification on tribal land.
