Ho-Chunk Gaming - Wittenberg awarded large business of the year

On November 10, 2015, the Antigo/Langlade Chamber of Commerce held their annual membership banquet at the North Star Lanes in Antigo.  Local businesses were honored for their years of service within the community and how they have been a positive impact. Past year accomplishments as well as future endeavors were discussed to show how businesses network, grow and become more visible within the community.
Each year, chamber members are asked to nominate and select award winners for the following categories: Large Business of the Year, Mid-sized Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Hometown Business of the Year. Once the nominations have been collected, a ballot form is sent to each chamber member to vote for Business of the Year in all four categories. The awards are then presented at the annual banquet. Of the many businesses present, Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg was one of four nominated for the “Large Business of the Year” Award Nominees included: Amron, Covantage Credit Union, Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg and Waukesha Bearings.
After a motivational speech from Mr. Craig C. Culver, Co-Founder and Chairman of Culver’s, it was time to announce the annual award winners. As employees of Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg sat quietly, the presenter read the following statement, “The business being honored as Large Business of the year is happy to work with surrounding community organizations to become true business partners while raising awareness about what they have to offer. They are proud and fortunate to support many local Wisconsin communities and organizations. We are proud to present the Large Business of the Year award to Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg”.
Since opening the doors in November of 2008, Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg has been a growing business not only in size but in local and surrounding communities. As Public Relations, “We try to support community organizations not only through monetary donations but by making a presence visually through charity events, networking with other local businesses and community involvement; as well as showing support for the areas that support us.”
Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg is thankful for the award, it lets us know that we are doing a good job for both the Ho-Chunk Nation and the local communities. Thank you to all that voted for Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg and for the continued support.
Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg is owned and operated by the Ho-Chunk Nation.
