On August 25, the Tomah community celebrated the grand opening of a brand new playground with a special ribbon cutting ceremony at the head start in Blue Wing!  The event was filled with gratitude and excitement as the students took their first steps into a space designed just for them to grow, explore, and play.

     Speakers at the ceremony included Laurel Meek, Head Start Director; Ryan Crain Sr., Executive Director of Education; and Stephanie Begay, District 2 Legislator.

     Andrea Haashoni McCaskey had the honor of cutting the ribbon.  Andrea has been an incredible parent advocate for Ahuco Head Start, and the community deeply thanks her for her dedication and hard work.

     Additional gratitude goes out to the Ahuco Head Start Staff, Department of Education, Ahuco Parent Committee, and the Ho-Chunk Legislature for your unwavering support. This beautiful new playground is a gift to our students and a symbol of what we can accomplish together.
