The Ho-Chunk Nation held its annual Labor Day Contest Pow Wow from August 31 to
September 2, 2024, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin.
The contest pow wow featured multiple dance categories, including men’s traditional, women’s
jingle dress, and fancy shawl.
This year's pow wow emphasized community connection and healing, providing a space for
people to reconnect with their culture and traditions. In addition to dance and drumming
contests, vendors offered traditional foods, handmade crafts, and educational materials about
Ho-Chunk culture.
