Tracy Thundercloud Takes Oath of Office

     Wednesday, October 8, the Ho-Chunk Nation Election Board hosted an Oath of Office Ceremony for the newly elected Tracy Thundercloud at the Tribal Office Building near Black River Falls, WI.  Mr. Thundercloud brings a wealth of knowledge and history of the Ho-Chunk Nation with him. 

     Mr. Thundercloud was a former Legislator and Executive Director of multiple departments of the Ho-Chunk Nation.  He is now the Representative for the Ho-Chunk Nation Legislature District 1, Seat 2.

     Matthew Mann was the Master of Ceremonies.  The Bearheart singers rendered honor songs throughout the morning.  The Andrew Blackhawk Legion 129 and Auxiliary Post 129 posted the colors.

     Traditional Chief Clayton Winneshiek offered a word of prayer.  The Ho-Chunk Nation President, Jon Greendeer, expressed some opening remarks.

     The Ho-Chunk Nation Election Board Chairperson Weeta Montelongo administered the oath of office.

     The Election Board provided refreshments and family of Tracy Thundercloud offered some food for those in attendance.
